A job position represents a specific role within your organization that can be evaluated using the platform. Each position includes:

Creating New Positions
Access Position Management
Navigate to Positions → Create New Position in the main menu.

Manual Override
You can override AI suggestions if needed: 1. Review the suggested band 2. Consider organizational context 3. Select appropriate band from dropdown 4. Add notes explaining the decision
Band Structure (B1-B9)
- B1-B3: Entry to mid-level (£18K-£42K)
- B4-B6: Senior to management (£42K-£75K)
- B7-B9: Director to executive (£65K-£200K)
Salary Range Configuration
Setting Salary Ranges
- Minimum Salary: Lowest acceptable salary for the band
- Maximum Salary: Highest salary within the range
- Currency: British Pounds (£) - automatically formatted
- Notes: Optional context or special circumstances
Range Validation
The system validates salary ranges: - Minimum must be less than maximum - Ranges should align with job band standards - Warnings for significant deviations from band norms

Accessing Position Details
- Navigate to Positions in the main menu
- Find the position in the list or use search
- Click View or Edit button
- Make necessary changes

Position Deletion
⚠️ Important Safety Information
Position deletion is irreversible and will remove: - The position record permanently - All associated evaluation data - Historical assessment results - Evaluator assignments and responses - Analytics data for this position
When to Delete Positions
Appropriate Scenarios: - Duplicate entries created by mistake - Test positions used for training - Roles that were never actually filled - Positions created in error
Avoid Deleting When: - Position has historical value - Evaluations contain important data - Role may return in the future - Legal retention requirements apply
Safe Deletion Process
Step 1: Review Impact
Before deletion, check: - Number of completed evaluations - Value of historical data - Organizational reporting needs - Compliance requirements
Step 2: Data Backup (Recommended)
- Export evaluation results to PDF/Excel
- Save position configuration details
- Document key insights or decisions
- Notify relevant stakeholders
Step 3: Execute Deletion
- Navigate to position details page
- Click the Delete Position button (red button, bottom of page)
- Confirmation Dialog: Review the warning message
- Type Confirmation: Enter position title exactly as shown
- Final Confirmation: Click "Yes, Delete Permanently"

- Position no longer appears in lists
