Creating New Positions

Access Position Management

Navigate to PositionsCreate New Position in the main menu.

Automatic Suggestions

The platform provides AI-powered band suggestions based on: - Role Keywords: Analysis of position title - Department Context: Organizational structure patterns - Responsibility Level: Management vs individual contributor - Experience Requirements: Seniority indicators

Manual Override

You can override AI suggestions if needed: 1. Review the suggested band 2. Consider organizational context 3. Select appropriate band from dropdown 4. Add notes explaining the decision

Band Structure (B1-B9)

  • B1-B3: Entry to mid-level (£18K-£42K)
  • B4-B6: Senior to management (£42K-£75K)
  • B7-B9: Director to executive (£65K-£200K)

Salary Range Configuration

Accessing Position Details

  1. Navigate to Positions in the main menu
  2. Find the position in the list or use search
  3. Click View or Edit button
  4. Make necessary changes
  5. Save updates

  • Position ID (system generated)

Position Deletion

Avoid Deleting When: - Position has historical value - Evaluations contain important data - Role may return in the future - Legal retention requirements apply
