Templates are the foundation of your evaluation process. They define the questions, scoring options, and weight distribution for your evaluations.
Understanding Templates
A template consists of: - Questions - The evaluation criteria - Options - Scoring choices for each question - Weights - Importance of each question (must total 100%) - Categories - Grouping of related questions
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access Template Builder
Navigate to Templates → Create Template in the main menu.
2. Template Information
- Name: Choose a descriptive name (e.g., "Marketing Manager Assessment")
- Industry: Select relevant industry for better organization
- Description: Explain the template's purpose
- Tags: Add searchable keywords
3. Build Your Questions
Adding Questions
- Click "Add Question"
- Enter your question text
- Set the weight percentage
- Choose a category
- Add scoring options
Weight Management
- Monitor the weight progress bar
- Ensure total equals exactly 100%
- Use the real-time validator
Question Types
- Multiple Choice: Standard evaluation questions
- Rating Scale: Numerical scoring systems
- Text Response: Qualitative feedback (future feature)
4. Configure Scoring Options
For each question, define scoring options: - Option Text: Description of the performance level - Score Value: Numerical value for calculations - Order: Display sequence
Example Scoring:
- Minimal Level: 0.5 points
- Adequate Level: 1.0 points
- Good Level: 1.5 points
- Excellent Level: 2.0 points
5. Preview and Test
Use the Preview button to see how your template will appear to evaluators.
6. Save and Publish
- Draft: Save for later editing
- Publish: Make available for evaluations
